My Career
My career in training and development began in 2009 when I joined a call center in Southern California as part of the training department, focusing on mentoring and onboarding. Recognizing my skills in patience, efficiency, and instruction, management quickly promoted me to a training assistant role, where I led new hires in mastering system applications during onboarding classes.
In 2011, I transitioned to the Las Vegas-based Jem Group, continuing my work in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
PSI
In 2012, I advanced my career by joining PSI as a trainer, a role I held until 2019. At PSI, my responsibilities expanded to include onboarding, cross-training employees moving between departments, and uptraining team members to support their career development. Beyond training, I conducted documentation and training needs analysis, applying the ADDIE Model—the cornerstone of instructional design and development. This methodology enabled me to create structured, effective training programs that supported organizational goals.
Zenith
In 2019, I joined Zenith American Solutions as a Training and Quality Specialist. My focus remained on delivering impactful training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to onboard and develop new hires. This role honed my ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt instructional strategies to meet dynamic needs.
Development
My commitment to professional growth led me to earn the Virtual Instructional Designer Certification through ATD Education in 2022. This milestone marked a turning point in my career, as it culminated in my promotion to Instructional Designer Manager. In this capacity, I oversaw the development, maintenance, and delivery of training materials, including computer-based courses. I also managed the Learning Management System (LMS), taking charge of course uploads, assignments, completion reports, grade tracking, and survey analysis. My expertise spanned areas such as new system rollouts, soft skills training, and highly technical client-specific implementations.
Today
In 2023, I achieved the Articulate 360 Certification, further refining my ability to design and deliver engaging, impactful training programs. Proficient in leveraging this cutting-edge software, I enhanced my efficiency and output, cementing my position as a leading training expert in my industry.
With a robust foundation of experience, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for instructional design, I continue to drive innovation and success in the training and development field.
